Farmers deserve more yields, fairer income, and more than harvests that go to waste. Through Graft Innova8, our evidence-driven advisory platform and ideas lab, we help producers and enterprises reduce losses, boost productivity, add value to commodities, and strengthen market access.
West Africa’s youth are its greatest advantage. We back their ideas and enterprises by linking them with capital, markets, and mentorship, whether through agripreneurship programs, product showcases, diaspora engagement, or the West Africa–North America Corridor, which provides pathways such as matchmaking platforms, export readiness sprints, and Research–Co-op Test Labs.
System transformation needs evidence and trust. Our Contributor-powered Data Exchange, Value Chain Mapping & Traceability tools, and System Actor Repositories & Networks ensure that data, insights, and relationships are available in ways that empower farmers, innovators, policymakers, and investors to act smarter and faster.
No single actor can transform food systems. Through our regionally anchored convening platform – a rotating accelerator, commitment tracker, and accountability engine – we align farmers, agripreneurs, governments, investors, researchers, and communities around discourse, real deals, pilots, and shared prosperity. More than dialogue, it is a launchpad and scorekeeper for system-wide change.
As part of this domain, we also anchor the Resilient Roots Outreach, founded by Lady Ebere Cecilia Agada, which provides hunger and poverty relief for vulnerable groups when shocks hit hardest, whether during lean seasons, hyperinflation, or disasters. Graft Africa sustains this effort by organizing an annual fundraiser, supporting impact evaluation, and committing to match a share of what is raised through crowdfunding or other mechanisms. In doing so, we ensure that immediate food and welfare support does not stand apart from system change, but is woven into a wider agenda of resilience, accountability, and dignity for those most at risk.
Graft Africa’s Academic Working Group convenes leading scholars and thought leaders from West Africa, North America, and Eurasia committed to advancing evidence, collaboration, and innovation in agrifood systems.
The group connects research to action, generating insights that inform Graft Africa’s programs, strengthen data systems, and guide policy and partnership design. Members share knowledge and collaborate across disciplines to co-develop studies, mentor emerging researchers, and shape thought leadership around climate resilience, trade, and inclusive growth.
Together, they form a global network of inquiry and impact, grounding Graft Africa’s vision in rigorous evidence, foresight, and shared learning for a more resilient, equitable food future.
